Nantucket Scallop Cup Regatta
October 20, 2007

Frosty sailors are invited to Nantucket for racing and comraderie.

Racing starts Saturday on or about 12:00 at the Nantucket Yacht Club adjacent to the Steamship Authority landing. Racing will end in time for people to catch the 1730 ferry for Hyannis. However, all are invited to attend the awards party at the Philbricks’ Saturday evening and sample the island’s inns and guesthouses. Donated housing is also available.

Frostys can travel on the Steamship Authority "slow" ferry both ways with the purchase of two bicycle passes for $6.00 each per trip. There is usually a group of Frosty sailors at the loading ramp on Saturday morning, follow their lead onto the car deck. A wagon or two wheeler is helpful for hauling the Frosty aboard the car deck. The Steamship Authority "slow boat" (see: www.steamshipauthority.com) leaves the dock in Hyannis on Saturday morning at 0915 and arrives in Nantucket two plus hours later. Please note: the "fast ferry" does not take Frostys.
